Joanna Chugh  – Chief Operations Officer, Europe Premium & Select and Owner Partnership Relations, EMEA

Joanna Chugh was appointed Chief Operations Officer, Europe Premium & Select and Owner Partnership Relations, EMEA in March 2026 and has responsibility for both managed and franchised hotels across Europe including all disciplines, as well as the Owner Partner Relations organisation for EMEA.

Joanna joined Marriott International in 1996 at the London Marriott Hotel Marble Arch. With a career spanning several operational and financial leadership roles across multiple regions, she has built extensive hospitality experience and strong relationships with Marriott’s ownership community.
 
Prior to her most recent appointment, she was Regional Vice President for Marriott International in the UK, Ireland and Nordics for the Premium and Select Service Brands. Before this, she was Vice President of Finance Operations for EMEA, overseeing operations across more than 1,000 hotels in the region.

Originally from Dublin, Joanna earned a Degree in International Hotel Management from Shannon College of Hotel Management in 1995 and remains an active member of the alumni, committed to graduate recruitment and development. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants for over 20 years and holds an MBA in Hospitality from EHL Hospitality Business School in Switzerland.
