  • A collective hub known as the Great Room where business can get social.
  • The restaurant “Moments”, a social eatery concept around active ingredients that come, whenever possible, from sustainable and local agriculture in order to offer tasty, healthy but responsible food that foster a mind-body connection.
  • A new Marriott “art of hosting” with empowered service personnel who are always one step ahead.
  • “Meetings Renewed”: a dedicated floor for meetings and conferences with spaces and experiences that elevate group thinking.

  • The M Club Exclusivity – a quiet space to relax and reward, where there is a 24/7 access to premium Wi-Fi and complimentary meals from breakfast to dinner.
  • A 24/7 Fitness room that is designed to create an overall sense of clarity and purpose.

A PIONEERING DESIGN FOR INVENTIVE TRAVELERS

The design of the Geneva Marriott Hotel is inspired by the story of pioneers of aviation Armand and Henri Dufaux and celebrates the bold and ambitious entrepreneurs as well as the freedom and excitement that come from travelling. Using patterns, artwork and styling elements derived from the industrial heritage of the destination, Geneva Marriott Hotel brings a combination that balances intuitive flexibility with sophisticated, modern finishes. Its mechanical yet glamourous spirit melds with its upscale and intuitively crafted spaces, perfectly thought for today's modern travellers, enabling guests to relax, work and find inspiration during their stay.

Pierre Henri Perrin, General Manager of the Geneva Marriott Hotel, said: “We are excited to further expand the presence of Marriott Hotels in Switzerland and serve the local community. Being part of the tourism industry of Geneva is such an honor for us and we are grateful for the welcome and continuous support we have received from the local community. Geneva is an inspiring city with many faces that fascinates travellers from around the world with its energy, cultural life and a good balance between nature and urbanism.

Given our People First philosophy, our associates will always be able to provide an above and beyond service. We cannot wait to welcome our dear guests to Geneva Marriott Hotel.”

Thanks to the visionary spirit of Mr. Chevalley – owner of the André Chevalley Group – the first Marriott hotel in the Romandie region was built in the rapidly expanding Meyrin district. This area is ideally located and has been in full development for several years. A neighborhood life project at the foot of the hotel is planned and will allow the property to become not only a meeting place for business and leisure travellers, but also for the residents of the area and a new melting-pot for Geneva.

AN INTELLIGENT AND SUSTAINABLE HOTEL

In addition to beautiful values centered around the human, the excellence, and the spirit of service, Marriott International pays particularly attention to sustainability with the objective of reducing water intensity by 15%, carbon intensity by 30%, waste to landfill by 45% and food waste by 50% by 2025 (from a 2016 baseline). Hence, the essence of the Geneva Mariott Hotel’s sustainability concept is based on a high standard and ethics approach. The entire building is equipped with a district heating system: the water is heated up to 120 degrees by burning domestic wastes. Environmentally friendly and offering many advantages, district heating is a sustainable solution for the future that also greatly reduces CO2 emissions. For air conditioning, water is collected in the ground under the hotel to cool the building and is then returned to the earth without being polluted. In addition, windows are equipped with the Electrochromic Glass “Saint Gobain”. This tinted glass adjusts automatically according to the outside temperature to cool or heat the rooms. To further personalise the guest’s experience and cater to personal needs, these window tints can also be manually adapted. This element gives the hotel facade a very aesthetic look and design. To complete the property’s sustainability tour when it comes to the intelligent building, electric recharging points as well as an extensive space to park bicycles are available for the guests. All these measures taken since the beginning of the operations aim to ensure that this project is as sustainable as possible – the group's objective being a more ethical mode of production and consumption.

GREAT ROOM

Setting the scene on arrival at the new Geneva Marriott Hotel, guests are welcomed into a bright lobby, also called Great Room, inspired by the sense of movement, the space is filled with architectural details and applied patterns that bring a sense of gliding and serenity to the space. Surrounded by wood paneling, this refined and serene space offers a place for guests to relax, to connect or to carry on with the evening after dinner. The lounge and cocktail bar located in the Great Room is a place to relax and unwind with friends over refreshing drinks. Through the open bar, mixologists can be observed during the preparation of exquisite drinks, allowing the guests to live a true cocktail experience. The Head of mixology, Matthieu Saint Lot, who gathered expertise from all around the world, is committed to offer an unique and original approach, creating its own syrups, fresh fruit juices and macerations with fresh herbs sometimes collected from the surrounding mountains. With a no waste policy, the passionate and talented mixologists’ team is focusing on bringing out the best of local ingredients to create the different innovative mixes and flavors.

A GLOCAL CULINARY EXPERIENCE

Moments restaurant, located in the heart of the Great Room, offers a dynamic and elegant atmosphere introducing a "Glocal" culinary experience: Local in its approach to ingredients that are sourced locally in Geneva, global in its impact on consumption,  supported by the philosophy of the Marriott International group, a player committed to the sustainable transition. As its name suggests,

the concept of the restaurant reflects the values of sharing, conviviality and well-being. Moments offers a wide range of seasonal dishes with “products of the hour” to share with friends or family, as well as individual dishes. The open kitchen reflects the concept of convivial dining focused on responsible sourcing and balanced recipes. Fabrizio Domilici - an expert in his field and originally from Geneva - has been appointed Executive Chef of the restaurant and is committed to offering fresh, local ingredients and promoting, as much as possible, sustainable agriculture. Very attached to the Geneva terroir, Fabrizio Domilici is in favour of a virtuous circle, from producer to consumer, with a reasonable approach to consumption. Recognized and anchored in the local community, the Chef strives to create tasty and healthy dishes that nourish the body and the spirit, highlighting vegetables and sometimes using herbs from the garden of the Hotel located on the roof of the property. His creations are served with a selection of local wines.

MEETING & EVENT SPACES

Geneva Marriott Hotel also sparks new ways of thinking and fosters “networking” across 7 flexible meeting spaces: One ballroom, one pleanary room, that can accommodate heavy equipment such as a car, four meeting rooms and one mezzanine. More than 1,000 square meters of event spaces welcoming up to 1,120 guests are available, featuring contemporary styling, state-of-the-art technology, and an abundance of natural light, making it the excellent venue for business and social events.

ROOMS & SUITES

The theme of illumination continues from the lobby to the 263 thoughtfully created guestrooms and suites. Bathed with natural light, each spacious guestroom features large windows offering for the majority open views on the Alps and Jura. The contemporary designed guestrooms provide a comfortable space ideal for working or relaxing, and feature large bathrooms with walk-in showers.  The Studio Suites offer a living/ dining room separated from the bedroom and a kitchenette, ideal for long stays. The Sky View Suite and the Presidential Suite located on the 10th and 11th floors showcase panoramic views of the nearby mountains. The Sky View Suite also benefits from a 90 sqm terrace for unique moments facing the breathtaking landscapes of Geneva.

M CLUB LOUNGE

The hotel also features M Club, an exclusive space reserved for Platinum, Titanium and Ambassador Elite Marriott Bonvoy members as well as Club room and Suite guests with complimentary breakfast, beverages and hors d'oeuvres throughout the day. The M Club offers a selection of delicious snacks and drinks with active ingredients to enhance the mind and body.
