W London Takes a Stance for Pride with a Unique Series of Events
- 13 June 2023
This year to celebrate Pride, W London is teaming up with W Amsterdam for Pride at W, a week-long series of events at both properties from masterclasses and educational panel discussions to wellness sessions and parties. Known for being two of the most inclusive cities to celebrate Pride, both W London and W Amsterdam take pride in being safe spaces for self-expression and meaningful conversations. W Hotels’ theme for WorldPride this year celebrates the fact that – no matter who or where you are, at a W Hotel, there's always ‘Room For You’.
Set in the heart of Soho, W London is the perfect base for an unforgettable Pride experience with its 192 stylish guestrooms and suites. To continue W Hotels longstanding commitment to inclusion and diversity, W London will host the following events across Pride:
-
28th June – W London will kick start Pride at W with a Drag Makeup Masterclass, in partnership with MAC Cosmetics’ charity initiative Viva Glam. Hosted by Rhy’s Pieces and Marc Sinclair, the masterclass invites makeup lovers to express themselves through this artform, providing guests with the knowledge and expertise to elevate their look. Tickets are priced at £50 and include a welcome cocktail and small bites.
-
29th June - To continue W Hotels longstanding commitment to inclusion and diversity, W London and Josh Harrison, DJ and founder of OUTHAUS, will host a panel discussion on progression and inclusivity on with key figures and voices within the local LGBTQIA+ community.
-
30th June - A Heels Masterclass promises to teach the ultimate expression, led by professional dancer and OUTHAUS choreographer, Shaquille Lloyd-Brush. Be guided through the foundations of movement in heels and how to build confidence for the ultimate show. The masterclass will be followed by a Q&A with Shaquille on performance creation and inspiration and will include live DJ sets from Mark-Ashley Dupé and Jarred Baker. Tickets are priced at £8.
-
1st July - During The Pride in London Parade there will be a MAC Cosmetics stall in the hotel’s entrance for those much-needed makeup touch ups. After the parade, W London and OUTHAUS will team up to bring HAUS of W, an unmissable party with live performances and DJ sets as well as a lineup of hosts, dancers, and queens. Tickets start from £13.
-
2nd July – A Sunday series of wellness will take place where guests can indulge in guided meditation sessions led by charity sponsor Not A Phase, a trans-led grassroots charity dedicated to awareness campaigning and social projects for the community. All Pride at W London tickets will help to raise funds for Not A Phase, with 50% of ticket proceeds going towards their incredibly important work.
-
6th July - My Genderation will present their short films celebrating trans lives at W London’s W Film Club in the exclusive screening room.
From the 26th of June until the end of Amsterdam Pride on the 6th of August, The Perception Bar will serve a limited-edition Pride cocktail, ‘Dash of Lavender’ in partnership with London Taste Collective and made with Belvedere Vodka. The cocktail takes inspiration from Lavender as a symbol of the LGBTQIA+ resistance and will be priced at £16 with proceeds going to Not A Phase.

About Not A Phase
Supporting the lives of trans+ adults across the UK is the core message of Not a Phase, a charity that is working towards a brighter future for the trans+ community. Through awareness campaigning, developing company D&I strategies and supporting trans+ lead projects with financial and material investment, Not A Phase aims to bridge the gaps that the trans+ and gender nonconforming community too often fall between. The funds raised for Not a Phase not only go into these projects but also support the peer support groups and fitness/wellbeing programmes that take place across the country, aiming to give a regular safe space for trans+ adults to meet, learn and grow.
